Being involved in the music department does not mean you will be the next Virtuoso on your instrument (although, may be you will!), but it will help and support you to achieve your goals in life.  Research shows that people who are learning and are involved in music will benefit in other ways as well.  Academically, those students in band and choir score better on tests, are better problem solvers, excel in collaboration skills, and their language skills are often higher than non-music students!  In addition, students learn to be leaders.  Every child involved in music has the opportunity to find their passion, their creativity, and their leadership skills.
