Grading Policies:
Weighted Minor Assessments: (50%)
Minor Assessments consist of 2 categories of assignments: Do-Now/Class Participation and Homework. Do-Now/Class Participation is a weekly grade (Minor x1). Homeworks are assigned and completed online using DeltaMath, and count as Minors x2. Homework assignments are always due at two class days after they are assigned, allowing for questions to be addressed before the due date/time. Class time is devoted to discussion upon request only, via email sent prior to class. The weights of Minor Assessments (x1 or x2) will be reflected in the Genesis gradebook and are based on the importance of the assessment according to the discretion of the teacher.
Major Assessments (Tests): (50%)
Major Assessments will take place at the end of each Unit of Study. They will be announced in advance and study guides will be provided. We will have 5 Major Assessments per marking period.
