Grading Policies:
Weighted Minor Assessments: (50%)
Minor Assessments consist of assignments that fall under the following categories: Do-Now (including Class Participation), Classwork, Homework, and/or Quizzes. "Do-Now" is a weekly grade (Minor x1). Quizzes are based on previously assigned material, will be announced in advance, and count as Minors x2. The weights of Minor Assessments (x1 or x2) will be reflected in the Genesis gradebook and are based on the importance of the assessment according to the discretion of the teacher.
Major Assessments (Tests): (50%)
Major Assessments will take place at the end of each unit of study. They will be announced well in advance, with class time devoted to review beforehand. Classes that meet 5 days a week will have 5 Major Assessments per marking period. Classes that follow an A/B schedule will have 3 Major Assessments per marking period.
