IMPORTANT INFECTION PREVENTION PROTOCOLS

 

Classroom Environment

Teachers will have a large pump bottle of hand sanitizer in their classrooms that they can control and distribute to the students as needed.  If you prefer to bring in your own child’s sanitizer and/or wipes please label it with the child’s name and teacher so it can be kept in the child’s cubby at school.***All Classrooms are cleaned at the end of the school day   

Handwashing 

Will occur at numerous times during the school day:

Students will wash their hands  – upon arrival

                                                             -  before and after meals and snacks

                                                         -  after going to the bathroom

                                                             -  when coming in from outdoor play

                                                             -  prior to dismissal

                                                             -  when hands are visibly soiled

Teachers have sanitizing surface wipes that they will use to clean tables and different areas in the classroom.

 

Water Bottles – 

Should be brought from home.  They can be plastic disposable bottles or reusable bottles.  NO WATER FOUNTAINS WILL BE IN USE.  Please label all water bottles with the child’s name and teacher.  Reusable bottles should be taken home daily to be cleaned properly. 

 

Visitors

Please be advised that no visitors will be allowed into school unless they have an appointment.  There is a security officer stationed at the main entrance every day.  Please ring the bell and have ID available to provide.

 

Picking up your child due to illness

If you are called to pick up your child due to illness.  You must be able to pick your child up within 30 minutes of receiving the call from the school. Please do not make a sick child wait for an hour or more to be picked up.    Please make sure you have listed emergency contacts and make sure your contact numbers are up to date.

 

Medical Conditions

If your child has been diagnosed with a medical condition such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, etc. please seek a written note from your child’s doctor regarding their medical condition to keep in their file. I should be given the proper medication and documentation so your child can take medication if needed at school.  Please help me maintain a safe and healthy environment for all.
