About Mrs. R.

Hello Parents /Guardians:

    Welcome,  I just wanted to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me.  My name is Kristine Rapczynski but I just prefer to be called Mrs. R.  I have been a school nurse for 25 years.  I started my school nursing career in Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District and came to Woodbridge School District in 1/2019.  I have my Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN), my school nurse certification and a Masters in Education.

     On a personal note,  I  have two teenagers , Michael Jr (23 yrs.) and Cassidy (20 yrs).  My other family members include my numerous furry friends, my cats, Bosco ,Cookie ,Maliboo, Cheeto, Prada and Casper and my dogs, Chili ,Theo and Bowie.  

     I am excited to be taking care of your children.  I believe that for a child to be successful they need to feel comfortable in their environment, physically and emotionally.  Starting school for the first time can be quite overwhelming and I try to put the children at ease. They will often see me at the front door greeting them every morning and saying goodbye to them every afternoon.  I try to be visible to them by providing a few lessons over the year, spending time with them in the lunchroom and visiting them in the classroom when I can.  This helps them know my face and become familiar with me. They can visit me for illnesses, injuries, to talk or just to take a break.  Please feel free to call me and let me know about any pertinent information about your child that will make their experience more enjoyable.  I am looking forward to a great year.  Stay healthy and call me if you need anything.
