An Important Note on Plagiarism and AI:

According to the Woodbridge Township rules & regulations:

Plagiarism results when there is an intentional representation of another’s ideas, words, or work as one’s own without giving proper credit to the originator of the information or material. This includes copying the words or ideas of others from the internet, books, magazine articles, and other sources without quotation or citing the source.(including an AI site)

In addition:it is the copying or paraphrasing the words or idea of other students, parents, siblings, or other family members and friends. The original writer who shares his/her paper for another to view and/or copy, without the permission of the teacher, is also engaged in plagiarism.

According to the District guidelines:

The penalty of plagiarism is a grade of a zero on the assignment with no make-up permitted. 

The teacher must also report the incident to the student’s parents/guardians, guidance counselor and the school administrators. A parental conference with school officials may also be required.

Language Arts is meant to be an expression of YOUR ideas and thoughts in your own words.  It’s okay if you make mistakes in wording, grammar and spelling.  It shows us what we need to teach you to be the BEST reader & writer you can be!
