Hello! My name is Sherry Oliveira and I am going to be your child's teacher for the school year. This is my sixteenth year here at Avenel Middle School, but my twenty ninth year working in Woodbridge Township. Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to work with every grade level from first through eighth! I particularly enjoy teaching both math and language arts, and feel fortunate to teach language arts here at AMS! This year, I will also be with Mr. Koniw in American History. We have worked together for the past two years and have a great partnership. 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my fifteen year old son, my husband and our three cats. I like to be outside and try to stay active. In my free time, I like to workout, go on long walks,  and read.

I look forward to meeting my new students and working with my former students again!
