About Mrs. Klein

My name is Donna Klein and I have been an Art teacher in the Woodbridge Township School District for 13 1/2 years.  I graduated from Kean University and hold degrees in Elementary Education (K-5), Art Education (K-12) and a BFA in Interior Design.   Currently, I am at School #1 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8:45-11:55.  In my class, students learn about artists and art concepts and techniques, as well as make connections between Art and regular classroom subject matter.  My goal is to have the students realize that Art is directly tied into Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies and material that they are learning with their classroom teachers.  Throughout the year, the students work with clay, oil pastels, crayons, colored pencils, construction paper, paint and a variety of other materials to produce their creations.  Our points of study focus on the elements of art (line, shape, color, value, texture form and space), taking pride in and ownership of our work, evaluating our work and building confidence in what we create as well as being driven to take artistic risks and challenges with our creativity.  I'm excited to meet my students and know we will have a fantastic year!
