Course Description: The College and Career Readiness Academy course is a program designed to help freshman students make an easier and more successful transition from middle school into high school. This course is a technology driven course designed to equip, engage and empower students. This team oriented class provides students with an array of differentiated learning opportunities geared towards seven specific student learning outcomes centrally focused on student success.
Targeted Student Learning Outcomes are designed to teach and improve:
● technology skills
● critical thinking skills
● communication skills (oral, written and listening)
● social skills
● time management skills
● study skills
● leadership skills
● accepting personal responsibility
Grading: Grading scale is based on Woodbridge Township School District established grading policy. Marking period assignments are distributed as follows: major assignments (Tests & Longer Projects) 50% and minor assignments (Quizzes & Shorter Projects) 50%. Final Exam counts for 20% of final grade.
