Hello and welcome!! My name is Mrs. Catherine Johnson and I am the Academic Coach here at Lafayette Estates School #25. My teaching journey began 32 years ago in Brooklyn, NY, where I taught first and second grade. I have been a small group reading instructor for first and second graders in Woodbridge Township for the past 28 years. This is my 16th year as a small group reaching teacher for our school. Watching my students grow as readers gives me great joy! I was born in Brooklyn and raised on Staten Island, NY. I have called New Jersey home for the past 25 years. I live in Bridgewater with my husband and two daughters. Elaine is 19 and Sophia is 17. Between swim meets and marching band, they keep us very busy! Our home is always filled with music, art, reading and laughter. We also love taking family hikes, going to the beach, attending Broadway shows, traveling to new places and spending time with family and friends.
