Language Arts--Benchmark Advance will be our reading program this year. We will be reading stories in Benchmark as well as reading several novels throughout the year. Our writing lessons will include practicing grammar, journal writing, and exploring different writing genres.

Math--The iReady Grade 4 Classroom Mathematics course provides a robust curriculum focusing on critical mathematical concepts. Students explore multi-digit multiplication and division, enhancing their computational skills and understanding of place value. The course delves into fraction equivalence, comparison, and operations, ensuring a solid grasp of fractions and their applications. Geometry topics include classifying geometric figures based on their properties, understanding angles, and measuring angles using a protractor. The course also emphasizes measurement and data, teaching students to solve problems involving the conversion of measurements, and interpret and represent data using line plots. Additionally, students investigate the concepts of factors and multiples, and understand patterns in arithmetic.

Social Studies--Young Citizens is our Social Studies curriculum. We will learn about New Jersey history as well as other interesting facts dealing with geography and graphic features (maps, tables, charts) of the United States and our world.

Science--Savvas Realize is our Science curriculum. Some of our topics include forms of energy, classifying plants and animals, energy from plants, ecosystems, changes in ecosystems, and types of weather.
