Grading Procedures
Where do I go to find agendas and assignments?
Please utilize Google Classroom, as it is a valuable communication tool between the teacher and home. The students will have their assignments posted to my classroom, as well as other important information and/or modifications such as: notes, reference sheets, etc. in accordance with the students’ Individual Education Plan as needed. Attendance as well as grades on daily assignments, projects, tests, quizzes, and class participation is accessible to parents/guardians via our student management system, Genesis, located on the district’s website.
What happens if I turn in an assignment late? If you are having difficulty completing a task and realize that you need more time to complete your absolute best work, talk to me and/or e-mail me, and request an extension. I must receive this request one full day before the assignment is due in order to grant an extension. You cannot come in the day-of without your assignment and expect an extension. If an assignment is not turned in on time, the student will be given the opportunity to turn it in for a late grade.
How will I check my grade in class?
Parents and students are strongly encouraged to log into Genesis on a weekly basis to view the most current grades for every class.
What do I do if I am absent?
In the event a class is missed, it is the student’s responsibility to see me and find out any missed notes and/or assignments. Always check Google Classroom for agendas, handouts, and assignment due dates.
