Grades are updated in genesis regularly. All grades will be a combination of major and minor assignments. When calculating marking period grades minor assessments count as two-thirds (2/3) of the overall grade, and major assessments will count as one-third (1/3) of the overall grade to determine the marking period value. Grading scale and late work polcy is below.
92-100 Performance significantly above curriculum standard
83-91 Performance above curriculum standard
74-82 Performance at curriculum standard
65-73 Performance below curriculum standard
64 or below Performance significantly below curriculum standard (failure)

All late assignments will be graded in the following manner.
You may turn in late work up to the day of the quiz.
Days 1 - 3 - 5% penalty per day as per district policy
Days 4 - Quiz - the highest grade you can earn is 50%
No Credit given after the quiz.
Plan ahead and manage your time wisely
Any time work is turned in after the due date late or absent, students will need to complete the late work form in the classroom
Parents will be contacted after a child has missed three assignments. After a child has accumulated three zeros in one class, an intervention will be arranged by a guidance counselor.
You are responsible for completing work upon your return and completing the absent form in class

If work is not completed per district policy, late grades apply
You are expected to be ready for tests and quizzes upon return
