1. Understand the goals of the course to become a safe, responsible and courteous driver
2. Comprehend the Graduated Driver's License (GDL) and its restrictions
3. Identify the facts, findings, and statistics about teen drivers

1. Identify the screening test requirements for obtaining a permit
2. List the vehicle requirements and documents that must be presented for the road test
3. Explain the road test procedure.
4. Identify reasons for vehicle failure on the road test

Chapter 3: Driver Responsibility
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the content and concepts of Chapters 1 & 2 by completing a test
2. Recognize the importance of a seat belt, lap belt, headrest, and air bag
3. Understand the laws associated with seat belts and front & rear seat passengers
4. Comprehend the seriousness of child restraint laws and proper installation of these devices

2. List the checklist for starting a car
3. Understand the purpose of speed control and proper braking

2. Analyze the various visibility, time and space factors that must be managed when cars enter and leave the flow of traffic, when driving on hills and curves, and when changing lanes and passing other vehicles
