Dear Families,
Welcome to our Woodbine Family here at School #23! I am so excited to have your child in my class this year. My name is Nicole Caggiano-Mangine, and I go by Mrs. Mangine. This is my 6th year teaching Kindergarten. I grew up right here in Woodbridge, NJ and attended Woodbridge School District schools. I went to Mawbey Street School #1, Woodbridge Middle School, and Woodbridge High School. I attended Sacred Heart University in CT, and graduated from Kean University with my BA in Psychology. I finished with my teaching certification quickly after, and obtained my masters degree in Education and certification as a Reading Specialist and Literacy Coach. Â
I am here because I absolutely love my job. I became a teacher to help children enjoy learning. I understand that this is both a scary and yet exciting time for you and your child as they enter their first year of elementary school. In Kindergarten your child will explore many new places, and learn many new things. I like to work with you as a team, and encourage constant communication.
Throughout the year your child will become an artist, an author, mathematician, architect, scientist, paleontologist, engineer, the list goes on. In our classroom we set the stage to engage and keep learning fun, as it should be. This year your child will be learning their letter sounds, proper letter formation, numbers, number formation, sentence structure, sight words, reading strategies, math skills, and many other exciting things! We will explore our school community, and learn how to be good friends to our classmates. We will learn how to follow our school and classroom rules, and how to take responsibility of our items! And so, so much more!
Together we can make this year a fun and wonderful learning experience for your child!
  Sincerely,
   Mrs. Mangine
