A consistent and structured behavior management program will be in effect, every day, for our classroom. Your child will be introduced to all class rules. These rules will be reviewed many times throughout the year, to ensure the children remember, as well as understand expectations and to set ourselves up for success!

Our classroom behavior plan is a money management system. The students will earn play money if they are caught displaying positive behavior such as: following the class rules, being a good friend, completing homework, participating in class discussions/activities, following directions and more. Every 2-3 weeks, I will open the “Class Store” and the students can choose to spend their money on a prize/reward or keep their money to save up for something bigger. Each item will have a price – the bigger, more popular prizes, will be worth more money.

This system teaches the students that they need to work hard to earn things they want. It also allows them to make decisions on whether to buy a small reward right away or save up for a big reward. In addition, the students will be learning how to count and trade money.
