TIPS
Practice, practice, practice! - short practice sessions daily or multiple times a day are most effective
Hear the pitch in your head, then sing the pitch, then listen - make sure your voice matches the pitch you are hearing - move your voice until there is no "beating."
The "Vocal Match" game in the "Pitch" section is very helpful for helping you match pitch with your voice. Make sure the computer is hearing your voice, not itself.
An excellent app for Apple/iOS devices. Contains guided lessons to train your voice to match pitch.
A piano and a tuner that shows the pitch of your voice. Press a note on the keyboard (ex. "C") then sing the note to the tuner. If you are singing the correct note, the tuner will turn green and show you the note you are singing (if you pressed "C" on the piano, and you are singing a C correctly, the tuner will turn green and show a C, otherwise, you are singing the wrong note/are out of tune). Make sure the computer is hearing your voice, not itself.
Good for practicing singing with a note. Press a key on the piano, and a note will play. Sing with the note, then listen if your voice matches.
Play a game of pong, except the controller is your singing voice! Sing to move the paddles up or down.
An app for Apple/iOS devices. Provides feeback on intonation as you complete sight singing exercises.
