CHS Staff

A special farewell to students that hold a special place in my heart in no particular order: Angelina Wintonick, Angelina D'Arcy, Jimmy Brown, George Gonzalez, Jaxie Newman, Emmy Rivera, Emmery Rivera, Luke Florczak, and yes, I said it, Jimmy Frage AND Moad Abusharia. Angelina W. you were my right hand lady and I am so proud of all you have done at CHS. Angelina D. I loved your artistry, intelligence, and unapologetic attitude. I will miss your cakes for every holiday! Jimmy Brown, I will definitely miss you coming into my classroom, hiding from Mr. Pace or Mrs. DiChiara, stealing my tissues, and discussing your future plans. I am so proud of all you have accomplished. George you are one of the kindest students I know. I know school and English was not your favorite, but I will miss talking about cars with you and your visits to my classroom. Jaxie good luck with your future teaching plans and keep that great heart you have. Emmy and Emmery, my emotional twins. I will miss your smiling faces and "Hey girlfriend" every morning. Keep making me proud! Luke you were a great student and you have so much potential. I am so happy I was your teacher for two years. I will definitely miss you, especially when we are doing tug a war next year. Moad you wrote on my calendar, kept your headphones in, and made me earn my check, but I will surely miss you. Jimmy Frage, who am I going to yell at now? You are a bright young kid and I hope you use it in your future. Keep shining! I will surely miss you all stopping by my class, but I know great things are ahead! This is a time that nobody has experienced before and through the sadness and uncertainty, you have every right to feel the way you do. I can't say I understand because honestly, I don't, but please know that I feel for each of you and what you have lost this year. This pandemic has reminded me how great our CHS family is and you are and always be a part of this family. The class of 2020 will always be remembered as a passionate class that lost so much their senior year. Skylar DeGeorge Class of 2020. It is surreal that you are already graduating high school. It seems like yesterday we were walking you to pre-school as you fearlessly went in without a tear. We were inconsolable but you ventured on bravely as you always have. During you time in High School you have had some great moments that you can cherish for a lifetime. Winning Homecoming Queen, your selection to the Heros and Cool Kids program, as well as scoring four goal in the first half against Woodbridge to name a few. Above all, your tremendous accomplishments academically. Your high GPA, acceptance in multiple Honor Societies most of all the National Honors (Phi Kappa) are unbelievably impressive. To say we are so proud does not seem to describe our sense of pride, we are in awe of you. What matters most of all is who you are as a person.So kind hearted and genuinely care about others. Always driven to do the right thing as difficult as that is at times. You had your choice of colleges and could have easily selected any of them. Instead of only looking at social and entertainment which we know will be great wherever you go, your choice was made on what was the best for you academically first and foremost. Maturity beyond your years and for these reason we are most proud. You are loved by all because of who you are. Although your senior year did not end as you had hoped, use this experience to build strength in that sometimes life does not always go our way. We hope to be able to make up for whatever you missed. Try to look at the bright side in this and all things. You did have some amazing moment during your high school career. In life we all need to learn to appreciate the good things that we have and have happened. As well as all the good to come. All of the Graduating class of 2020 are unique in that they experience something that has not happened in over 100 years. It will also be all of you that teach us all gratitude.
