Hello OFRS Families,
I am very excited to start the 2026-2027 school year! This will be my 2nd year at OFRS, 6th year teaching, and 9th year in education. I love building a strong classroom community and helping students develop a lifelong passion for learning.
I graduated from Rutgers University, where I was a part of the women’s swimming and diving team. Each summer since 8th grade, I have taught swim lessons to children and adults within my community. I also played softball for much of my life and enjoy sports -- both playing and watching.
After graduating, I started as an instructional assistant in the Manville School District before returning to earn my Master's in Teaching from Rider University. I taught 4th grade for three years, then moved to the middle school to teach 5th-8th grade STEM. Math and science are two of my favorite subject areas, and I love sharing that excitement with my students.
I grew up in Hillsborough, NJ with my 4 siblings, but now live in Washington with my husband, Tyler. We are currently expecting our first child later this year and we are very excited.
I look forward to learning with you this school year!
