In keeping with the Washington Township School District’s mission and guided by the American Association of School Librarians, the philosophy of the Benedict A. Cucinella (BAC) Media Center is to instill a love of learning through multiple literacies—including digital, informational, and design thinking—thus creating a foundation for success in our global world.
We believe reading is a lifelong skill essential for nurturing 21st-century learners, but so too is the ability to inquire, explore, build, and solve. By fostering curiosity and innovation through both literature and STEAM, we empower students to become creative thinkers, critical problem solvers, and responsible digital citizens.
The BAC Media Center is more than a library—it is a dynamic, flexible learning space where books and hands-on projects live side-by-side. It supports the development of high-level thinking skills, resilience, and collaboration, preparing students to thrive in an ever-evolving, interactive global community.
