Google Classroom is a blended learning platform that helps teachers and students organize classwork, streamline workflows, and communicate. It integrates with other our Google tools like Docs, Drive, and Calendar. It allows educators to create and distribute assignments, provide feedback, and grade work in one place. For students, it provides a central location to access assignments, submit their work, and stay updated on class announcements.
Google Classroom is designed to save time for both teachers and students. Teachers can easily set up classes, manage materials, and collect and grade assignments efficiently. Students can view upcoming deadlines through the class calendar and access all their classwork in a single, organized space.
Google Classroom is new to our district this year, so our teachers are learning to use it while they work on migrating materials and lessons away from our previous platform, Schoology. District teachers at all levels will continue to receive professional development on Google Classroom throughout the 2025-26 school year. We will fully transition to Google Classroom for the 2026-27 school year.
