Our Story/Hero Story

Wings Community Programs was born from a simple but powerful idea: every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and inspiring place to learn, play, and grow. Founded in Wilmington, Vermont, by a group of passionate community members, Wings began as a small after-school program serving just a handful of children. Seeing the need for high-quality, accessible enrichment programs in the Deerfield Valley, the founders dedicated themselves to creating a space where children could explore their curiosity, build confidence, and feel truly valued. Over the years, Wings has grown into a vibrant hub for families, offering after-school programs and summer enrichment, all while staying true to its mission: empowering young minds, fostering creativity, and strengthening the community. Today, Wings programs are as diverse as the children we serve — blending academics, arts, wellness, outdoor adventure, and hands-on enrichment that spark curiosity and confidence. From humble beginnings, Wings has become a place where every child can spread their wings and soar.
