What are we doing in science?

We will:

• Finish our final Mystery Science unit, "Invisible Forces."

• Use our knowledge of forces to build a strong bridge that supports as many pennies as possible.

•  Investigate patterns of motion exhibited by a trapeze, and use observational data from a model to predict the motion of a real trapeze.

• Explore the properties of magnets.

• Investigate magnetic attraction and repulsion, and engage in the engineering design process to create, test, and improve a magnetic lock that can open a paper door.

• Review for the upcoming unit assessment.

• Complete the unit assessment to demonstrate understanding of force, motion, and magnets.
