What are we doing in math?

We will:

• Review and practice major math concepts/skills from 3rd grade.

• Complete beginning-of-year assessments and inventories.

• Get to know ourselves and each other as mathematicians.

Throughout the school year, we will:

• Learn and practice a variety of math skills/concepts, differentiated according to students' individual levels of progress (using such online programs as Splash, Amplify, and IXL).

• Practice basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts.

• Practice addition and subtraction within 999; division within 100; and multiplication with single digits, multiples of ten, and teen numbers.

• Engage in puzzles and problem-solving tasks.

• Play math games to strengthen skills and conceptual understanding.
