We will:
Finish our final math unit, "Two-Dimensional Shapes and Perimeter."
Solve problems involving area and perimeter.
Work with rectangles that have the same perimeter but not the same area.
Work with rectangles that have the same area but not the same perimeter.
Complete mini-projects that involve area and perimeter.
Review and practice for the upcoming unit assessment.
Complete the unit assessment to demonstrate understanding of two-dimensional shapes, area, and perimeter.
Complete end-of-year assessments.
Learn and practice a variety of math skills/concepts, differentiated according to students' individual levels of progress (using the online programs Matific, Splash, Amplify, Happy Numbers, and IXL).
Practice basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts.
Practice addition and subtraction within 999; division within 100; and multiplication with single digits, multiples of ten, and teen numbers.
Engage in puzzles and problem-solving tasks.
Play math games to strengthen skills and conceptual understanding.
