Frequently Asked Schoology Questions
Schoology is a Learning Management System designed for K-12 schools. It allows teachers to easily provide students with digital resources and is an interactive platform where students can complete assignments and assessments, safely engage in discussions, and participate in online help sessions, or even create portfolios. In addition, it can be used for extracurricular clubs and activities (Musical, Student Council, etc).
The intermediate, middle, and high schools are using Schoology for grades 5-12.
Schoology is an excellent communication tool for parents. Schoology will become the ‘hub’ for parents to see all that is happening in a child’s courses and clubs. Notification features can be enabled to provide updates to courses and groups.
Parents can follow these step-by-step directions to access/create a parent account
If you have multiple children in the district (grades 5-12), you will see all of your children once you create your account. There are no additional codes needed.

No, your account will carry with you from year to year.
On the Schoology login page there is a “Forgot your password” link. Simply follow that link to reset your password.
There is a gradebook in Schoology. However, this gradebook may only reflect the assignments a student completed directly within Schoology. Teachers may create additional assignments outside of Schoology (paper/pencil, student presentations, etc) that will be included in a child's overall grade. These may only appear in the PowerSchool gradebook. If you have any concerns about your child's grade, please reach out to the teacher directly for clarifications. Report card grades will be the grade reflected in PowerSchool.
