Awarded $30,000 Reynolds American Foundation support the expansion of Mixxer STEAM from a series of summer learning opportunities to a comprehensive, year-round experiential learning program designed to engage, expose, and inspire youth in STEAM subjects and professional fields.
Awarded $19,200. 2024 Arts Event Sponsorship Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council and Forsyth County Board of Commissioners
Our first Artist Development Series program was held and we had 33 participants in the audience - many new to Mixxer and enthusiastic about the event, MIxxer
We received a 25% discount (by connecting with Northern Tool) and are now part of their Platinum Program for the Women's Fund order we placed.
They are also connecting us with Darcy about the Jessi Combs Foundation. They are women makers who also teach women to weld.
HandsOn reached out to me to see if we would like to participate in: Service Enterprise (SE) is a national certification program administered by AL!VE to help nonprofits think strategically about how volunteers can be used throughout their organizations so they can expand program operations and revenue, increase impact, and operate more efficiently while continuing to implement best practices for volunteer engagement. We can put up to 5 people through it, and get certified for $200 it comes with an assessment and 4 training workshops plus 10 hours of coaching time.

Savannah and Elaine completed the Winston Salem Foundation's Collaborative Cohort DEI training series - we will be looking for ways to incorporate some of what we learned. Our plan is to focus on the Women and Gender Expansive Residencies with it first as a way to introduce it into our community more naturally

Projects: Clean and stock bathrooms, take out trash facility wide, clean windows inside & out, sweep and vacuum facility wide, vacuums wood shop counters/walls/tools, empty dust collectors in wood shop, change filers, vacuum metal shop counters/walls/tools, wipe down all flex tables, computer tables and reception desk with damp cloth, help staff with projects

I (personally) joined the Black Chamber and met with Gloria, who would like to discuss STEAM Camp Programming.

I received a grant for and am now taking the Women's Emerging Leaders Program "preparing, strengthening, and supporting women for leadership roles. WEL is a ten-month program consisting of two components: an intensive Leadership Essentials for Women workshop and enrollment in the Nonprofit Essentials Program

We have generated interest in custom 2024 STEAM Camp and school-year programming from:

We currently have 86 scholars enrolled in camps (from 61 in May) of 120 seats.
