Dash Corps Capacity Building action project with a community agency from October 2023 to March 2024 - 55+

Expand Mixxer's programs to serve the 55+ population. This project is connected to the work of Mixxer because it aligns with our organization's mission of providing equitable access to tech, tools, and knowledge regardless of experience or background. By extending our programs to the 55+ population, we are ensuring that this demographic, often overlooked in the tech and learning space, has the same opportunities as others to gain valuable skills and knowledge. We are helping to expand the diversity of knowledge and experience in our community. We are promoting the idea that learning can and should continue throughout one's life. We are expanding the impact of your organization, reaching a demographic that may have unique needs and interests, and in doing so, we are furthering our organization's impact.

A plan or roadmap to offering new programming.

By developing and utilizing surveys and questionnaires, focus groups topics and guidelines, and needs assessments, we hope to gain an understanding of the area’s 55+ population's needs and preferences in order to design a program that is engaging, relevant, and beneficial for this demographic.

Our Vision and Mission

We envision a future where all young people have access to an equitable and excellent education and live lives filled with opportunity. We look to a future where the education system is effective, equitable, and responsive.

Bellwether is a national nonprofit that exists to transform education to ensure systemically marginalized young people achieve outcomes that lead to fulfilling lives and flourishing communities. We work hand in hand with education leaders and organizations to accelerate their impact, inform and influence policy and program design, and share what we learn along the way.
