About Me:
As said above my name is Dashiell Moyse. I am 16 years old and in the 11th grade. I like to play tennis, do theater, shoot photography, play video games, play board games. One fun fact about me was I was born on the February 29th. After high school I hope go to college and get a degree.
Why Flex:
I chose Flex so I didn't have to insert another PE class that would take away time for me to do other classes I'm interested in. For example I hope to take AP Calculus and Physics next year which would be very hard if I had to fill a block with PE.
Flex Process and Structure:
The Flex Process and Structure is as follows. You pick a topic that is important to you and falls into one of three health categories: Physical, Mental, or Medical. You then create a SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound) goal for the project Then in each project you do research and create a bibliography. Based on your research you then right an analysis of the data and include any strategies you've learned. Next. you have to gather data for the project. Lastly, with that data you write a reflection about findings, conclusion, and overall success or failure. I had to do this process multiple times for multiple projects.
Flex is also very independent and self created. It doesn't work like a regular class where the work is handed to you; you have to create the work. This makes Flex PE between high school and college level class.
PHS Relevance (personal):
Flex has a lot of Post High School Relevance for me. A lot of my Flex projects were related to hobbies of mine that I wish to carry on into my future. So the information I learned from the projects will influence how I approach these activities that I will do frequently in the future.
