What worked was the projects, they were fun and convenient. I also thought that the fact that I could choose what I wanted to do worked to help motivate me and train me for adult life.

What didn't work is I took advantage of the time I had some time, it was hard for me to focus because I knew that the course was up to me. I would have liked it better if this class was a whole year long to be able to use this well. What also didn't work was communication on both ends, Kathy had lots of other kids to help too and it wasn't just all in one classroom.

I could have done different projects so that I would have been more interested. I should have worked on projects at home more and focused on flex like a real class.

More Communication, I didn't get to meet a lot because some other kids and meetings were happening. the only thing bout the course is that it's not in a classroom, which is challenging your work ethic.
Overall reflection - the impact of this class on my life and what I can/will take away
The overall impact flex has on my life, opened my eyes to realizing I am becoming an adult. Flex is very independent, which brought a challenge in my life because I have never got to sit down and think "What would I want to learn"? When going into flex it is important to know plans, what you wanna do in the future, and what you like to do. What I was able to gain from Flex was responsibility and dedication flex has pushed me to work harder and be organized and responsible. During this class, a lot of it was up to me to do my work and know what I wanted to do. In the real world, you have to know what you want to do and do something you never wanted. I now have figured out what I want to do in my future, and even have already taken steps to get there. All seniors should take this class it benefits your well-being and understanding of self-value. I have now gotten an apprenticeship at a salon, without this class I would have never actually tried to get my cosmetology license. I was able to do whatever worked for me, and what I wanted to learn. Flex teachers you how to prepare for adult hood.
