Welding with SCC

25-26 SCC Welding and Industrial Careers Exploration (Formally MegaTech) Program Information

Applications are now being accepted for both programs:

Important Information:

Welding will be a semester course again this year.  Students can sign up for Fall or Spring, they will need to specify on their application. This will allow us to double the amount of students we can accept into the program.  Seniors only will be accepted, this is per SCC.  Students can continue with their welding training by taking the next level course through SCC as a Dual Enrolled Student.  Instructors will give students information on these options.

SCC will require all students to complete WorkKeys testing for both Welding and Industrial Careers Exploration and students must score at least a 3 or bronze on the exam to participate in the course.  Students will test in Workplace Documents, Graphic Literacy, and Applied Mathematics at SCC.  

Once students are accepted to the program, SCC will coordinate the testing for these students.  Counselors will not be required to administer the test.
