The Theatre
The theatre at Ecole River Heights is an incredible space that can seat over 150 patrons. This outstanding space is where Grade 7 Drama classes will take place.
The curtains mask a two-part white magnetic white board that is used for brainstorming, exploration, and class discussion

We have four full costume racks that feature a wide variety of known characters from Beetlejuice, Batman, Aquaman, and the Joker. But we also feature a huge range of clothing for students to use their imaginations to create new characters!
Spotlights
Spotlights
We have two spotlights with a variety of coloured gels to enhanced emotional or environmental moments. Students will learn to use these effectively and safely.
Theatre Flats
Theatre Flats
We are fortunate enough to have four double-sided flats at our disposal in the theatre! These flats are equipped with lockable wheels for ease of use, mobility, and for safety. One side of each is painted in neutral black. Two are painted in a rock cave pattern, and the other two feature a forest motif.

We have a wide variety and assortment of props that students can use to explore dramatic play with. These include (but are not limited to) hats, wigs, swords, phones, shields, bags, jewelry, and so much more!

Theatre Blocks
No theatre space is complete without theatre boxes! These are painted black boxes that can be stacked, moved, configured in any way to help build sets for performance pieces and theatre-learning activities.
