As part of Earth Day celebration, LIA students at Wahlquist Jr. High picked up trash all around their school ground to help keep it beautiful.
"Recently historical items kept in the Wahlquist library, including scrapbooks created by school historians over the years, were digitized by the Special Collections department of the Weber State library and are now being hosted on the Weber State library servers making these things available to the general public"

Natalia Stewart received a Silver Medal for her project preparing for a Job Interview. Natalia researched and created a portfolio that contains all of her information, skills, and reasons why she deserves the position that she is applying for. Natalia says "I am taking classes and being a part of different activities to prepare myself for this position. I am researching different jobs that best apply to my skill level. I am creating my resume and stating reasons why I think I should be hired."
Davon Mildon created a project for Food Innovations. He earned a Silver Medal. "In my project I will be explaining how to change the recipe, what feedback I got from people, how I performed this experiment, and what recipe is the healthiest." Through his research Davon made and perfected a delicious batch of Peanut Butter Energy Balls.
Cambree Heslop prepared a presentation for the Interpersonal Communications STAR Event. "I had noticed that my peers around school, extracurricular and church either didn't know how to communicate, they were struggling with their mental health, didn't know how to communicate that they wanted to help, or both. So I made this project to help inform my peers about mental health and how to teach them communication skills so that they could give peers who are struggling their "2 cents." All it takes is just 2 cents to completely change someone's life. So, I made a plan, put it into action, and saw how successful it was, it was indeed fairly successful." Cambree received a Silver Medal for her project and presentation.
Matthew Davis competed in Event Management earning a Bronze Medal. Matt designed an event to help the students at his local high school. "My local high school choir is in need of additional funds to supplement the bus fee for their annual Disneyland trip, so that each student pays less per person. The fundraiser to collect these funds includes refreshments, and an entertainment program, and the event is 75% run by students."
Kathryn Stewart earned a Gold Medal for her Food Innovations project titled "Chocolate Strawberry Cake". "I researched ingredients that have dietary fiber and are low in calories. I made a cupcake that contains strawberries, dark chocolate, and whole-wheat flour."
