Journalism Staff

Kimberly Almejo is a 14 year old girl who attends Orion Jr HIgh and is in Journalism. In her free time, she likes to read, draw, paint, Crochet, Sculpt with clay, Play Video games, bake/ cook, make jewelry, do any DIYs or crafts, or hang out with her friends and family. She also likes to watch, listen, read, or play anything that has to do with paranormal activity, horror, true crime, or anything creepy or unsettling. She also spends most of her time rotting away in bed or listening to music.

Jack Anderson is a creative writer who loves anything to do with fantasy or science fiction. His favorite book is Year of the Reaper by Makia Lucier, which is about ghosts and assassins in a medieval setting. His favorite game is Destiny 2, and he loves drawing and writing stories in his room.

Charlotte is an 8th grader at Orion Jr. High. She’s a little reserved when you first meet her but once you get to know her, she's very dramatic and passionate. She loves to read and write fantasy and historical fiction. She loves to sing and act, and has been in many plays and performed in many concerts. She’s really passionate about photography—her camera is always out, snapping pictures of anything and everything she sees. She really enjoys running and is constantly pushing herself past her comfort zone. Charlotte loves to bake and is always in the kitchen, dreaming up all kinds of exotic recipes.

Kaylee is an energetic ninth-grader who is most likely the loudest in the room when with her friends. With a love for writing, Kaylee has been crafting up stories and poetry her whole life. She uses writing to communicate feelings and burdens, and will tell you right away if she thinks you're wrong. With a love for traveling, motorsports, and sharks, most describe her as out there, having no filter, and extroverted. She can’t wait to share all her ideas, articles, and poetry with The Orion Times.

Hayden Hardman is a very self confident person who loves outdoors and sports. His main hobby is fishing but he also likes to go mountain biking and play golf or pickleball. He works very hard and has big dreams to go play a professional sport or be a lawyer.

Kynnlie Hatch is a 9th grader here at Orion. She has been in journalism through all 3 years of junior high and enjoys it. She is very excited to share her work this year. She loves to hangout with friends and family, bake/cook, and travel. Kynnlie is lighthearted and mindful. She hopes to become a nutritional psychiatrist when she is older.

Frederick Hone is one of the many writers of The Orion Times. He is part of the 7th period journalism class. He publishes articles and other pieces on The Orion Times website.

Eliyah Jones is a writer, artist, and student in Orion Jr. High Journalism. Having a spark for art and writing, she joined journalism to give people a breath of fresh air like with her comics or article about the hottest dress up game: Dress to Impress! She loves writing and drawing little doodles to spice up her work and keep people's attention from the top to the bottom of the page. 

Addison Kaminsky is an eighth grader at Orion Jr. High. She likes theater, video games, and horror. Her favorite plays are Heathers: the musical, and Mean Girls. Her favorite video games are Five Nights at Freddys, Fran Bow, and Doki Doki Literature Club. She loves to express herself through her style and interests. She doesn't care about if people judge her based on her being herself; she loves the way she dresses and she shows it! Her favorite type of horror is Analog horror and gore, her favorite horror movies are Terrifier and Saw. She loves being with her friends and being herself. She’s funny, kind, smart, and loves to help and support people.

Alec is from Utah and is an athlete for basketball. This is Alec’s first year being a writer for Orion. He’s won a lot of medals and trophies in basketball, including the Weber School District championship for Orion Jr. High. Alec looks to challenge and push himself with writing and plans to see how he can improve skills.

This is Paetin Mulvain. She is an 8th grader at OJH. She loves to make crafts and play soccer. She spends a lot of time with family and friends. Her favorite holiday is Halloween and she loves fall. Paetin has 3 dogs, a cat, and 2 bunnies. She spends a lot of time with her animals. Paetin also is about to start a business on Etsy. She loves journalism and everyone in it. 

Kenzie Tuttle is in 9th grade. She has been in journalism for 2 years and enjoys writing. Kenzie likes pottery and ceramics, as well as drawing and painting. She likes to let her freak flag fly and isn't afraid to be herself. She enjoys being silly and laughing with her friends.

Sophia Villegas is an 8th grader at Orion Jr High. She loves to write everything from songs, stories, and even poetry. Her favorite classes are art, theater, and journalism. In her freetime she loves to hang out with friends and loved ones. She’s a simple girl—things like chocolate, soft blankets, autumn, and cute animals make her happy. Underneath all of that shyness and nervousness, there’s a very silly and goofy person, and it’s easy to become close to her.
