In 2020, an 8th-grade student named Indiana Plant noticed a lack of literary-centred programs at Orion, especially after the discontinuation of the school's literary magazine. She decided that Orion needed a school newspaper. This newspaper would be accessible to students, teachers and staff. When it was created, it was the only junior high newspaper in the state of Utah. Because it was created by a student, it continues to deliver content for students. The Orion Times: for students, by students.
I'm interested in joining. How do I get in?
You can email our advisor and/or editors about it. We are always looking for more applicants! We also have meetings every Thursday. Anyone is welcome.
