Boys Volleyball Get ready to bring the noise for Boys Volleyball! These guys have been grinding in the gym, perfecting their serves, and getting ready to send some spikes straight into next week. They’ve got the power, the hustle, and the high-flying energy—now they just need us filling the stands and bringing maximum volume to every match. Let’s make sure they hear us all the way down the court as they launch into an unbelievable season! 🏐⚡
Softball It’s time to step up to the plate and cheer on our Softball team! From crushing homeruns way past the outfield fence to making game-winning plays in the dirt, these athletes are ready to dominate the diamond. They’ve put in the work all offseason, so let's make sure our home-field advantage is louder and rowdier than ever. Grab your gear, pack the bleachers, and let’s hype them up for a huge season ahead! 🥎🔥
ART CLASSES
Collaborative monster project in art where each artist worked on a different body part.
In the art room we are officially in the thick of it. our 9th graders have learned about the tradition of quilting and how heritage and art meet. Using all seven art elements we created our own quilts.
For our younger 7-8th grade class we have explored space using the Japanese art of Noten.
The 3D classes are elbow deep in cardboard and colored paper with the 9th graders making Shadow Boxes. learning about landscape imagery and how our eyes interpret reality. and the younger class is making Letter Cubes exploring positive and negative space.
In all the classes we are exploring the world and interpreting artworks last week we covered Vincent Vangough's sunflowers, Ishtar's gate, moai of easter island, and Utah petroglyphs.

Scorpion Staff Spotlights
What an incredible win for both the math and music programs! Getting extra funding directly into the classroom makes a world of difference. Mrs. Bradley (Band): New interactive math games are a fantastic way to transform abstract concepts into hands-on learning, making the subject way more engaging and far less intimidating for students. Teacher Wise (Math): High-quality band instruments are expensive, so a brand-new instrument opens up a huge opportunity for a student who might not otherwise have access to one. Mountain America Credit Union's grant program does a wonderful job supporting local educators. Huge congratulations to both teachers on taking the initiative to apply and bringing these well-deserved resources to their students!

WELCOME BACK
We officially kicked off the new school year with a great mix of tradition, togetherness, and productive prep time. Right out of the gate with our Second Annual Roy Cone Breakfast has became a new favorite, thanks to all the hard work by all the schools in the Roy cone, but especially Roy High and Principal Hart. While we set a brand-new record with a epic 2.5-hour "nuts and bolts" meeting, it was balanced out by a delicious staff lunch and soda bar to help us through back to school night to keep energy high. Plenty of dedicated classroom time for everyone to get their rooms decorated, organized, and fully ready to welcome students.
