Online class registration for students entering 7th grade next year at Orion is now closed

• Students who did not complete the online registration must submit a paper copy of their class requests to the counseling office. (See the 7th Grade Class Registration Planner below or pick up a form in the counseling office.)

• If students do not complete their own class registration, their counselor will choose their courses for them.

• Placement in classes is NOT first come first served. The PowerSchool automatic scheduler randomly places students in classes.

• Students will likely NOT get into all of the elective classes they select; alternates must be selected which will be used if an elective is not available.

• Changes to students' schedules can be requested after schedules are released in August. There is a $10 schedule change fee.

• Student schedules will be available in early August through PowerSchool.

• Students will be manually placed in the following classes by their counselors:

  • • Accelerated 7th Grade Math (based on test scores)

    • Special Education classes (based on current IEP)

    • English Language Learning class

    • Classes requiring an audition or approval of an application

    • Other specialized classes
