Expectations

  • Reading is very important for your child's educational growth. It is expected that students will spend at least 20 minutes, 5 to 7 nights per week reading outside of school.

  • It is highly recommended that parents review their student's work on canvas regularly (weekly at a minimum). Check the grades and the comments in the grades for low scores. The parent and the student will be notified periodically if work is not being turned in, is being turned in incorrectly, or the student is missing the meeting.

      • You can see missing work in the Homeroom Schedule as well, you will not have to wait for me.

  • Correcting mistakes is a vital part of the learning process. Students will be expected to do corrections on their assignments. Comments will be made on the assignment and the students will need to make corrections to get credit.

  • Questions are my favorite: If you have any questions - ASK FOR HELP! You are not on your own after our Google Meets classes. Whether you have a question on one problem or are confused about an entire assignment, PLEASE reach out and ask for help!

  • In my class, I do everything I can to foster an environment where our students are unafraid to be wrong. I encourage our students to make as many mistakes as they can so they can learn without any hesitation.

  • We are a class that helps each other!
