Beginning Band!

Have you wanted to learn how to play an instrument, but missed your opportunity in 5th grade?  Did you play an instrument that wasn't a good fit and want to try something new?  If you answered YES to either of these questions, Beginning Band could be for you!

WMS will be offering 1 section of Beginning Band in the 2025/2026 school year.  This class is for any 6, 7, or 8 grade student at WMS who is interested in learning a traditional band instrument.  The instruments being taught in this class include Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, and Percussion (Xylophone & Practice Pad to start).  Students enrolling should know that this is a YEAR LONG course.  Students will also receive a report card grade reflecting their effort and improvement on their instrument of study.
