When you practice dribbling a ball with one hand, remember the following:
Place your dribbling hand on the very top of the ball.
Push the ball straight down using your fingers- Do not slap at the ball
Do not bend over to meet the ball-Wait until it bounces all the way back to hip level before pushing it down again
Two-Handed Strike
When practicing practicing your batting skills, remember the following:
Maintain proper grip on the bat, with dominant hand the top
Stand sideways to the pitcher
Keep your eyes on the ball
Your weight shifts forward to the front foot and your hips and shoulders rotate forward as you swing
There is a follow through around to the opposite side of your body at the end of your swing.
Overhand Throwing
When practicing your overhand throw remember the following:
The nondominant side of your body faces sideways to your target.
Your throwing arm moves down and back behind you, ending with you holding the ball behind your ear during as part of your windup.
Be sure you have a bend in your elbow and remember to always keep your eyes looking forward at the target.
You step forward with your front foot as you extend your throwing arm forward
You release the ball toward your target and follow-through diagonally across your body.
Underhand Throwing
When practicing your underhand throw remember the following:
Unlike the overhand throw, you face forward to your target.
Your throwing arm moves straight down and back behind you.
You take a step forward with the foot opposite your throwing arm.
You release the ball toward your target and follow-through.
Kicking
When kicking a ball, remember the following:
Have a continuous approach to the ball.
As you approach the ball, there is an elongated step prior to ball contact.
Your non-kicking foot is placed just behind or next to the ball.
You contact the ball with the instep or toe of your foot.
The leg follows through.
The clip on the left demonstrates a slow-motion kick.
Underhand Roll
When practicing an underhand roll, here are some things to remember:
Start with your feet shoulder width apart, with your hands at your sides, and your knees slightly bent.
Your throwing arm swings down and back behind you and your opposite leg steps straight forward.
Bend at your knees and release the ball close to the ground.
Follow-through to your target.
Catching
Things to remember when practicing your catching:
Your hands are in front of your body, with elbows bent and at your sides.
Don't wait for the ball to come directly to you; reach out and extend your arms to meet the ball.
Catch the ball using only your hands.
Bend your elbows after you catch the ball to help absorb the force of the ball.
