Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is not just a scripture but the Sikhs living Guru.
The holy text spanning over 1430 pages contains the wisdom of 6 Sikh Gurus and 30 Saints, combined in one, which if read with a pure heart, can unravel the mystery of life for us.
The first version, called Pothi Sahib Ji or Aadi Guru Granth Sahib Ji was completed by Shri Guru Arjun Dev Ji, the fifth Sikh Guru in 1604 . It contains the compositions of the first five Sikh Gurus.
The final version was completed in 1708 by Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Guru by adding the Bani of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, his father and the ninth Guru.
Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was officially anointed Guru before the tenth Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji spiritually merged in the Divine. Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is now the central text of Sikhism, and the eternal Guru of all Sikhs.
