Karen Turner is Bethel's Director and PreK classroom teacher. Karen started at Bethel Elementary in 1993. She started out working one-on-one and has been teaching preschool for over 25 years. She has two children who graduated from Bethel and are both in college. She enjoys camping, walking, and being outdoors. Karen was born in New York but has been in Vermont for 50 years.

First Branch Unified District: Chelsea Campus
Lisa Ellis is First Branch PreK Program's teacher. She is a native Vermonter who left to explore but came back home to put down roots. She studied Human Development in college and spent the first part of her career working for NAEYC early childhood programs in California, Boston, and Chicago. She attended graduate school in Illinois, where she focused on Special Education for children, Birth to PK, while also getting her teaching certification. After working in the Quality Rating System for Illinois', she returned to Vermont to work in public schools. She has taught preschool, early childhood special education, and 1st grade in Vermont. She has fallen in love with using the seasons of Vermont to support children's growth, development, and learning in the early years. She enjoys cooking, gardening, snowshoeing, cycling, yoga, swimming, and hanging out with her fur baby- Coco the Cat.

Burleigh Griffith is the Lead Teacher and Director of the Rochester Preschool. A native Vemonter, he holds a Vermont Teaching License Birth-Pre-K, and graduated from Northern Vermont University Lyndon with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. He lives in Rochester with his family, 13 chickens, 6 goats, 2 dogs, and 1 Betta fish. When not at school, he enjoys spending time outside camping, listening to live music, biking, and hiking. His favorite quote is from Mrs. Maple’s Seeds by Eliza Wheeler. “Never forget that even the grandest of trees once had to grow up from the smallest of seeds.”

Kristin Fauci teaches Sharon Elementary School's Woodchuck class.
She grew up in Pittsfield, Vermont and went to college in Durango, Colorado. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. She has taught preschool in Colorado, New Hampshire and Vermont. As a teacher, she philosophy is to guide, support, listen to and create enriching learning experiences in and outside of the classroom.
She loves the outdoors--exploring hiking/trail running trails, skiing, mountain biking. She also enjoys cooking and reading. When she is not spending time with her two children, Emma age 15 and Dylan age 12, she can be found coaching group exercise classes at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center and Tracy Hall. She is also involved with the Norwich community as a member of the recreation council.

Lindsey Schell is the Director and Teacher of the Chipmuink classroom in Sharon. She grew up in both Randolph and Bethel, two small towns in Vermont. Lindsey attended Ithaca College where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation, which allowed her to work with a range of populations, varying in age from 1 to 101. Lindsey served as the Activity Director of a 135-bed skilled nursing facility and in a variety of early education classrooms. Lindsey’s professional and personal experiences have allowed her to live in many areas, but she is happy to be planting her roots back in Vermont. In her free time, you may find Lindsey riding her bike, jumping into a river, hiking through the woods, seeking out the best sunrise views, spending time with her two Nigerian Dwarf goats, or watching a movie at Bethel’s Drive-In Theatre. She also loves a good roller coaster! Lindsey is currently taking graduate classes in Early Childhood Education and looks forward to being a part of the WRVSU community!

Kristiana Manole is one of South Royalton's Preschool teachers.
Ms. Manole was born & raised in New York. She moved to Vermont to attend Vermont Law, and graduated in May with her J.D. She has been working at SRES for One Planet for several years, and where she currently serves as the Site Coordinator. The 2024/2025 school year is her first year as a Pre-School Teacher! She lives in town with her cat Dragana, and 23 year old turtle, Shelly!

Jessica Langlois is Stockbridge's Preschool Director and Teacher. Jessica teaches a mixed age group of 3 and 4-year-olds.
Jessica is a native Vermonter who prefers the desert. She spent the first part of her career as a librarian, but always loved working with young children. She got her bachelor's and master's degrees in Arizona in Spanish and Library Science, and has worked as a public and school librarian as well as an environmental educator and has taught English and Spanish. She used the pandemic lockdown to become certified in Early Childhood Education and hasn't looked back! She loves to travel with her family - she has recently visited Ireland and the Czech Republic. She is also really into running, and usually runs one or two half marathons per year. She has one kid in college and one who will be there in one more year!

PREK Coordinator and ECE Interventionist
Renee Hinton joined the White River Supervisory Union team in 2021 as the Act 166 Preschool Coordinator and an Interventionist for WRVSU. Renee has worked in Early Education since 2007. Renee holds a VT Educator's License, endorsed in Birth - Grade 3 and K-6 and has her Masters Degree is concentrated in Curriculum and Instruction. ECE Special Educator
Lisa Campbell is a White River Valley Supervisory Union Early Childhood Special Educator. She joined WRVSU in the fall of 2022. Lisa began her position as an Early Childhood Special Educator at WRVSU in the Fall of 2022.
Lisa has three grown children, and has lived in Bethel since 1991. When not working, She serves as a Bethel Library Trustee, and on the Bethel Conservation Commission. Lisa is an avid reader, loves to walk her dogs, and periodically attempts to do some quilting!
