Find at least one trusted adult in school that can support you with personal, social, and/or academic challenges. Advocating for your needs is an important skill that will lead you toward a successful future.
Try new things and push yourself out of your comfort zone. Joining a club, team, or activity can help you make new friends and learn new skills.
Eat healthy, drink lots of water, and get at least 8-10 hours of sleep each night. Be kind to your body and respect yourself.
When dealing with a tough situation, like what to do when faced with peer pressure, stop and think. Ask yourself: is this safe, will someone get hurt, or what could be the consequences? Then make a decision that honors your values and empowers you to be your best self.
Middle school can be a wonderful, exciting time in your life. There may also be moments when you feel overwhelmed with all the changes that are taking place. Slow down. Take it one step at a time. Remember to practice your coping strategies and just breathe.
