The Wachusett Music Education Department is very pleased to be able to provide concert attire for each and every student who is a member of a performing group at the beginning of each school year. Also, because of the tremendous support of the Wachusett Regional School District and the music boosters organization TEMPO, we are able to provide them at no charge to the student.

We have arranged to have Bonardi’s Formal Wear collect all of the uniforms in the summer to clean and return them in the fall for distribution. During the school year, the shirts can be laundered as often as you wish. The concert gowns can be machine washed on a gentle cycle and dried on a low setting.

Students are responsible for the proper care and use of this uniform as well as any damage to it while it is in his/her possession. Replacement of the tuxedo with all of the accessories would cost $250 and the concert gown would cost $75. The Music Department will pay for all repairs due to normal use. Any abuse to a uniform will result in the student paying for damages or if the uniform is not returned. Parents should understand that this agreement is made for the purpose of protecting the rights and privileges of all students in the music program.

In addition to the uniform given to students, those with a tuxedo are to wear black socks and black shoes and those with a dress are to wear black, closed-toe heels or flats. Those with dresses in the Honors groups will be given a pearl necklace to wear and should provide their own inexpensive, pearl earrings. CPA students wearing dresses, if wearing jewelry, are to wear a thin, chain necklace with a small pendant and small post earrings.

The 2022 uniform distribution night will be on September 26th. All students being fitted for a tuxedo will be asked to sign-up for a half hour time slot here. Students getting fitted for a dress can stop in any time between 2:30 and 7:00.

We ask that when students are fitted for their uniform they bring a $15.00 cleaning/repair fee with them that night. Students may bring cash or a check made payable to TEMPO.
