The 2025-2026 school year will be my 10th year as a teacher here at TPS. I love the Princeton community and the K-8 environment here at Thomas Prince. Prior to coming to TPS, I taught at Chandler Magnet Elementary in Worcester, Davis Hill Elementary in WRSD and the FCCH Nursery School in Holden. I left my career in corporate communications in the technology sector to stay home with my children many years ago. While raising my own kids, I discovered my passion for working with children. Volunteering in their classrooms and school library led me back to school for a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and the rest is history! I’ve never been happier and more fulfilled at work! I am passionate about literacy and reading. To this end I have become a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner and completed the full course of LETRS training to stay current with best practices in literacy instruction. I am also a certified PLTW Launch lead teacher for the district and LOVE making science and engineering come alive for my students.

In addition to being a teacher, I am also a mother of two daughters. My youngest daughter just graduated from WRHS in May and starts her college journey as a Freshman meterology major at Plymouth State University this year. My oldest daughter is a Junior at Framingham State double majoring in studio art and education.  I am also mom to four mischievous cats named Percy, Izzy, Lyra &  Katniss. We all live in Holden with Mr. Dolat, and love our neighborhood and community. I love to spend time in my gardens, take nature walks and spend time cooking with my family. More than anything else, I love to read! I have been an avid and passionate reader my entire life - a total bookworm! I frequent the library, participate in book clubs with friends, and I host a Little Free Library for my neighborhood in my front yard. My biggest passion as a teacher is to foster a love for reading in all of my students and show them that reading for pleasure is THE BEST!
