Chocksett Counseling Program

Welcome to the Chocksett Middle School Counseling Program

The clinicians at Chocksett Middle School work collaboratively with parents, staff and community partners in order to provide a comprehensive counseling program.  We  develop and deliver counseling curriculum and services that provide all students with the requisite knowledge and skills that support their academic, social and emotional development.  In addition to delivery of Social and Emotional Learning curriculum, we support students with individual and group interventions, facilitate on-going assessments, provide additional individual planning, consultation, responsive services and system support to ensure students are educated in a safe, supportive school environment that contributes to the development of 21st century skills necessary to become independent and successful citizens in a global society.

June is Pride Month

The Stonewall riots in June of 1969 began a series of liberation protests for the LGBTQ+ community.  During the month of June, we celebrate their beautiful identities and policy successes as well as recognize their on-going challenges in fulfilling the promise of a truly equitable society free of hate  in which all people can love and express themselves as themselves.
