C-V-C means consonant-vowel-consonant. Remember the vowels are, Aa, Ee, Ii, Oo, and Uu! They have special sounds and sometimes they even say their own name. Most of the time when they are in a CVC word they will say their "short sound" which is /a/ like apple, /e/ like egg, /i/ like igloo, /o/ like octopus, and /u/ like umbrella.
