The Intermediate Teaching Team along with the Guidance, Special Education Resource and MLL teachers will happily work together with students and their families to ensure the transition to Grade 9 is smooth.
Grade 8 students may register for the Reach Ahead to High School program - based on their learning needs.

follows the secondary school STSWR transportation routes for summer school
COURSE OVERVIEW:
GLS 1O1 explores:
Learning Skills: strategies for reading, writing, math and becoming a self-directed learner
Personal Management: Time management, organization, goal setting and stress management
Interpersonal Skills: Teamwork, communication and conflict resolution
Career & Life Skills: Exploring post-secondary pathways, career research, financial literacy and budgeting
Who is it meant for:
Students who may struggle with the transition to gr. 9 and are seeking opportunities to build confidence and improve their ability to learn independently
Often recommended for students with an IEP, but is also available for those without an IEP
