Free - available in the Chrome store as an extension. This app has SEVERAL beneficial uses for students:
Speech Prediction–Head Icon
Turn this on to have suggested words appear. Choose the word you would like to use in your writing.

Example:
Speech-to-text–Headset Icon
With a headset microphone, speak your ideas, and Read and Write will autotype them into a Google Document. On first time use, you will have to allow microphone access in your browser and device.
Text Read Aloud–Play-Pause-Stop Icon
Select text, press Play to hear text read-aloud. Pause/Stop to cease read-aloud.
Example: Text will highlight in yellow, words being read aloud in blue/white.
Highlighting
Select text, then choose a highlighter colour to highlight text for importance. To erase highlighting, select the highlighted text and click on the broom icon.
Collect Highlighted Notes–Circling Arrows Icon
You have highlighted important information on the circling arrows icon. A new Google document will be created in your Drive with all the highlighted information. It will also include a link to the website source. You can then rename the research notes document.
