"Science is simply the word we use to describe a method of organizing our curiosity"

To use a scientific research process, a scientific experimentation process, and an engineering design process to conduct investigations, following appropriate health and safety procedures.
To use coding in investigations and to model concepts, and assess the impact of coding and of emerging technologies on everyday life and in STEM-related fields.
To demonstrate an understanding of the practical applications of science and technology, and of contributions to science and technology from people with diverse lived experiences.
My goal with students is to foster a sense of curiosity in the world around them and to get them asking questions that allow them to explore that curiosity. Science is in everything around us and the possibilities are endless!
We will be looking at the engineering design process to work through different challenges this year. I hope to push students to think outside the box and take chances when solving problems.
