Welcome to your Southwood Guidance Department

We are here to support you during your time in high school.  Whether you need help selecting courses or planning for your future, we are here for you. Listed are a few reasons why you may speak to your guidance counsellor:

• Course selection

• Organize student class schedules

• Research post-secondary opportunities

• Compose letters of recommendations

• Provide support and direction for students dealing with personal issues

• Individual education and pathway planning (IPP)

• Alert students to opportunities which they may not have found on their own (volunteer, scholarship, employment, enrichment)

• Organize career, employment and post-secondary information sessions.

All students should be invited to their graduating class google classroom.  Ask your student to invite you as a guardian so you can keep up to date with important information. The code to join each graduating class is listed below:
